Cradock Gathering
The Cradock Gathering was great! We all were truly welcomed into the Cradock Methodist Church family and the Emmaus family in general. There was much eating , drinking, singing and being merry before our Lord! Staying on a Karoo farm is an experience to treasure. The Boerewors Competition was also something new and local butchers carried off the honours for the best and second best wors. Well done to Thys Kritzinger for a well run and enjoyable event! All was rounded off well, with a sermon at the Methodist Church on Sunday morning ,which was conducted by our very own Community Lay Director: Anthony van Eck. Sadly we had to leave the, at present; lush , green Karoo , where according to Olive Schreiner-“ Breathing the clean ,fresh air is like drinking champagne”.
